MDM event in Montreal on November 4th

TechSolCom and Orchestra Networks are pleased to invite you at their first MDM event. The event will take place in downtown Montreal on November 4th from 11:30 to 13:30.

More and more, large corporations are turning to Master Data Management (MDM) to answer their information management requirements and establish the basis for their reference data Governance. Gartner estimates that there are growing interests in the market for MDM initiatives. Accordingly, investments in the MDM field will increase significantly in 2010-2011.

In the MDM field, many providers offer specialized solutions that cover a single domain within the Master Data area (e.g. Products); very few offer a multi-domain management solution that cover the entire MDM requirements. Sur la Route (On the road) – Quebec's roads at hand

TechSolCom IT Group, developed an application for the iPhone® which allows users to plan their itinerary by viewing the Ministères des Transports du Québec’s traffic web cams.

The network is composed of over 250 web cams distributed amongst the most traveled regions of the province. The images provided by these cameras are refreshed, on average, every 5 minutes. By consulting these images, users will be able to plan their travels while taking traffic density into account.

This software, named “Sur la Route” (On the Road), also allows consulting road conditions. They are published by the Ministères des Transports du Québec during the winter for most of the roads and highways in the Quebec province.

The application is available on the App Store™ for 1.99$.
